Rescheduled: Don’t Forget About UNO

Don’t Forget About UNO, workshop 3 of the UNO Community Memory Project, has been rescheduled.

Join us on Thursday, June 25, from 5:30-7:30pm for our final workshop, Don’t Forget About UNO.

How should UNO's stories, traditions, memories, and histories be preserved for future generations?

The UNO Community Memory Project invites students, alumni, faculty, staff, and community members to participate in its third public workshop.

Over the past year, project participants have shared memories, reflected on campus spaces, discussed moments of change and challenge, and helped document stories that often fall outside official university histories. In Workshop 3, we turn our attention toward the future.

Together, participants will explore how the history of the University of New Orleans can be preserved, interpreted, and shared with future generations. Through collaborative activities and discussion, attendees will develop ideas for exhibits, publications, archives, digital storytelling projects, commemorative initiatives, or other forms of community-based public history.

This workshop offers an opportunity to think critically about legacy, memory, and the role that communities play in preserving institutional history.

No prior participation is required. All members of the UNO community are welcome. Snacks and light refreshments provided.

Free and open to the public. RSVP required.

+++NOTE: Those who registered for the original event date will not have to re-register for this rescheduled date
