Share Your UNO Story: A Call for Community Voice Reflections
The UNO Community Memory Project is partnering with the Midlo Center for New Orleans Studies in collecting voice reflections from anyone who has been part of the University of New Orleans.
If you’ve studied, taught, worked, or spent time at UNO at any point, you’re invited to contribute a short memory.
This project focuses on lived experience. Not just official milestones or major events, but the moments that shape how people remember an institution: classrooms, campus spaces, relationships, turning points, ordinary days that still resonate.
There is no required theme and no specific time period. Memories from any era are welcome, and multiple entries may be submitted.
What You Can Share
You might reflect on:
A class or professor that influenced you
A campus space that mattered
A student organization or tradition
A moment of challenge, change, or growth
A relationship that began at UNO
Something you feel is often overlooked
Entries do not need to be polished or formal. A brief, honest reflection is enough.

Universities are shaped not only by official narratives, but by the memories of the people who move through them. This project aims to make space for those voices.
If you’ve been part of UNO in any way, your story is part of its history.
